Introducing Hasland Solar Farm

North East Derbyshire District Council has declared a climate emergency and supports renewable energy developments within the context of their local plans. We believe that a solar park fits their local policies and it would simultaneously contribute to the national Net Zero Target.

Kronos Solar intends to develop a solar park close to the Hasland suburb, and we give great importance to public participation during all phases of our projects. Part of this, is the early deployment of a transparent consultation process.

By means of this website we would like to inform you about our plans and give you the opportunity to actively contribute to the design of the solar park. We would be pleased to hear from you if you have any ideas or suggestions regarding any of the aspects of our proposal. This includes, for example, screening of the solar park or the provision of information around the park. The plans shown here are our initial idea, but nothing is defined yet.

It was our intention to hold a public consultation in October 2020; however, in the lilght of the current Covid-19 situation not only were we forced to cancel the event but we understand that people might have been unwilling to attend a more formal exhibition. Therefore, we will continue to engage through the planning decision process and we will take people’s views and ideas into consideration. During the decision process, comments can be made through the planning application portal or through this website.
